Last night, I had a chance to sample items from Central 214's revamped menu created by new chef Blythe Beck. The woman loves comfort foods with a twist, and it shows -- no wonder the sassy gal is called the Naughty Chef! On my plate above are a mini chili cheese dog on a pillowy bun (sadly missing from the resto's menu) and a seared diver scallop with sweet corn sauce. My favorite sampling, though, was of the prosciutto-wrapped white cheddar topped with an avocado cream sauce. It was gone so fast I forgot to snap a pic! The desserts get creative, too -- we were treated to a "naughty and nice" milk and cookies, featuring a chocolate chip cookie and a Knob Creek bourbon milkshake. Methinks I'll be leaving that snack for Santa this year.
Look out for more on Beck -- including her upcoming reality show -- in the April 30 issue of Quick.
