Yes, that's right, NorthPark Center is the site of this week's Wednesday celebration. Tonight at 6:30, new mall restaurants Cibus and La Duni will co-host an alfresco wine event in the patio areas behind their dining rooms. And what a space -- these lush green areas held the post-fashion show cocktail parties during last year's Fashion at the Park. This evening, however, wine will be the highlight, as more than 15 wineries will showcase their wines. Added bonus: La Duni and Cibus will offer tasty tidbits from their kitchens. Fabu! Tickets will be $20 at the door, and I'll be there. Perhaps I'll see you ...?
Cibus and La Duni, NorthPark Center, 8687 N. Central Expressway
Skin: Did you see that Prime Time's Prosper estate is on the market for 21 million bones? If I had a bowling alley at my crib, I'd stop passing out at bowling alleys every other Friday night. I need to get rich quick and pluck down a $4 million downpayment.
Ben: That's bad news for Prosper. Primetime IS Prosper. Other than a few barbed-wire fences and stationary field cows, there's not much out there. Maybe some other multimillionaire who just wants to fish, bowl and run sub-4.3 40s will be in the market for a rural mansion, and Deionland Ranch won't take long to sell.
Skin: The sticks ain't officially the burbs until they get a Chili's, a Mattress Giant and a Gap. Deion's got all that and more within an Aikman-to-Irvin slant from his back porch. It says you have to walk through the Office Depot to get to his stable. Naming your city Prosper has such a Texas flavor to it. I hear Kenny Gant has a much smaller, but still nice spread in Over Yonder -- which many think has a real chance to burgeon.
Ben: I heard "KB the Cowboy Homer" is running for mayor of Over Yonder. They have a fine class of standing cows and barbed-wire fences out there. Call me crazy, but it seems like Prime would already be extremely tight with every superstar athlete who might be in the market to buy his outstandingly lavish and Six Flags-like celebrity compound/farm. If I was his realtor, I'd probably set up a kiosk in the player's parking lot at Valley Ranch.

* Speaking of music channels, local rapper Dorrough Music and his "Ice Cream Paint Job" video is now in steady rotation at MTV Jamz. The vid is getting solid play with spins every hour on the :30 (10:30, 11:30, etc.). His "Walk that Walk" is getting radio play in various markets, so Dorrough continues to keep it thorough in '09.
Interesting story over at allhiphop.com. Apparently Play-N-Skillz is saying it hasn't received any money at all for providing Lil Wayne with the track for his monster hit, "Got Money." According to the story, the Dallas production team is considering legal action, although its comments as quoted by the allhiphop.com writer suggest the guys are trying their best to give Wayne himself the benefit of the doubt.
Play-N-Skillz didn't confirm or deny the content of the story last night. We'll see if we hear more out of them later.
