I had the chance to check out a new downtown sports bar-- Draft Media Sports Lounge in the downtown Dallas Sheraton. The word "lounge" is the better term for it, because this place didn't feel like your typical sports bar.
First off, the walls weren't papered with ginormous flat-screens in every corner that the eye could see -- one can just relax here and tune out the games if one wants. If the big game is what you're here for, though, the place will accommodate you nicely. If you want to have some other type of fun, there's plenty to be had.
My group and I hung out in the loungier area of the restaurant-bar (above, behind those slinky curtains), where big sofas surrounded handsome tables. In this grown-up playroom there were also Nintendo Wii stations set up with Wii Resort (fun!), as well as a coupla pool tables and -- get this -- two private karaoke "salons" (very, very fun). My posse and I belted out tune after tune for hours. I can defs see myself stopping by for more on any random night after work.
We are glad you enjoyed your time at Draft. Please come back and see us again.
