As noted in today's "Day Tripper", newly formed hip-hop group Maxx Moon will make their official debut with tonight's Dallas performance at The Lounge. The duo is the creation of the heavy touring lyricist Astronautalis (myspace.com/astronautalis) and the rising star in vocalist/producer Picnictyme (myspace.com/picnictyme).

"If Johnny Cash made an album with Gnarls Barkley and the Gorillaz, it'd sound something like Maxx Moon", described Picnic (who recently produced tracks for rapper Johnny Polygon and "Day n Nite" artist Kid Cudi). They've only leaked a few teaser tracks, so check them out tonight, with special guest Mes the Jive Turkey, if you want a glimpse into their upcoming Maxx Moon project.
