Where:Buzzbrews, 4154 N. Central Expressway. 214-826-7100. Also at 4334 Lemmon Ave. 214-521-4334
Delicious thoughts: When the clubs have kicked you out and you're among the starving lounge lizards that wants a bite to eat, it's hard to find better eats than at Buzzbrews. Their version of migas is pretty standard, with hearty chorizo, peppers, onions and tortilla strips. But the black bean refrieds are out of this world. I could've eaten a whole bowl of it and called it a night. Good, filling stuff.
I just took delivery of a stack of general admission tickets to the Boneyard haunted house in Arlington. This place, located in the old Six Flags Mall, is huge, folks -- it took me about 35 minutes to get through it at a media preview. There are mind-blowing scares and monsters aplenty to provide chills and thrills. Sound fun? Check back here beginning Monday, when I'll give away two passes each day of the week -- a $50 value. Since I dotted this site with plenty of jack o'lanterns during our last giveaway, look for the pot of candy next week and be the first to e-mail your name and address to ffleurima@quickdfw.com. Good luck!

W is for The Women's Museum. Many people attend the State Fair of Texas every year and don't even realize this museum exists, too focused on finding another corny dog stand. I have to admit, this is the first time I've ever been inside the building that I can remember (and I've been going to the fair for three decades now).
The museum has a lot to offer on the history and future of women. And I stumbled across a totally cool photo exhibit by legendary rock and roll photographer Lynn Goldsmith on the first floor. It is definitely worth visiting.
