Playing equal parts Texas country and melodic pop-rock, the Denton-based Eli Young Band found a national fan following with its 2005 CD Level and its Jayhawks-esque single "When It Rains." Ryan Bingham's raspy, aged voice isn't what you'd expect from a 25-year-old, but it has a familiarity that makes his Texas-tinged country all the more appealing.
