Having covered Smile Smile's music from the band's inception, we've always thought the rollercoaster relationship of members Ryan Hamilton and Jencey Hirunrusme would make a killer comic strip. Finally, with the participation of the two ex-lovers and artist Chad Thomas (who draws Quick's "We've Never Met" comic), their story's been illustrated. This comes at an exciting time for Smile Smile: On Tuesday, Kirtland Records will release the new CD Truth on Tape, which also tells the love story of Hamilton and Hirunrusme. The duo will play at Good Records and Double Wide on Feb. 13.
